CAPE COD DRUG CASE: Two Arrested in Yarmouth on Cocaine Trafficking Charges

VIA THE CAPE COD TIMES ONLINE

WEST YARMOUTH – Two people were arrested on Wednesday on charges of cocaine trafficking, according to a Yarmouth police press release.

Barnstable and Yarmouth police, armed with a search warrant, searched a rental home on Connemara Way in West Yarmouth shortly after 6:30 p.m. A Yarmouth officer stopped a Hyundai leaving the home and arrested the driver, 36-year-old Rodney Ferguson, for an outstanding warrant for assault and battery, according to the press release.

Jacqueline R. Simpson, 29, was arrested in the home, the police said. Police said they found a “large amount of cash,” crack cocaine and drug-distribution paraphernalia in the home.

Both Simpson and Ferguson were charged with felony cocaine trafficking and conspiracy to violate Massachusetts drug laws.
