Drunk taxi driver thrashes inside police car, swears at cops and medical staff

A taxi driver was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and marked lanes violation on Saturday, September 21.

Armen Avetisyan, 55, of Brookline, was pulled over by the police when he swerved on Hammond Street. He was asked to do a field sobriety test, but did not comply and refused to step out of his vehicle. The officers placed him under arrest. When he got inside the police car, he allegedly kicked the door, moved violently, and hit his head on the cage.

He was brought to Faulkner Hospital where he was reportedly being aggressive towards the medical staff and a police officer, cursing and kicking them. He also yelled profanities during the booking process.
