Ex-Massachusetts Maritime Cadet Pleads Guilty to Reduced Charges at Falmouth District Court

Originally facing criminal charges of two counts of rape and one count of indecent assault and battery on a person who has attained the age of 14, a former Maritime Cadet pled guilty to reduced charges of assault and battery and photographing a nude person without their knowledge and consent.  Both of these counts are misdemeanor offenses and do not require sex offender registration as the original charges would have.  As part of his guilty plea at the Falmouth District Court, the former cadet was placed on probation for a two year period and will not be allowed to contact the victim and must stay away from her and the Maritime Academy as conditions of his probation.
