Massachusetts doctor charged with DUI

A well-known Wellesley, Massachusetts doctor was arrested and charged with intoxicated driving after injuring a person in an accident, ABC News reported on November 14.

According to reports, 56-year-old Dr. Kristin Howard was driving at a high speed when she crashed into a vehicle outside of a Whole Foods parking lot. The man inside the other vehicle, identified as Paul McDonald, suffered serious injuries from the accident. Seven charges, including driving under the influence, were filed against Dr. Howard after police reportedly found controlled drugs prescribed to her by herself inside her vehicle. Howards reportedly did not plead guilty to the charges filed against her. Though temporarily released from custody, the doctor was relieved of hospital work and is expected to appear in court in early January.
