Vanilla Ice apprehended for stealing from foreclosed home

American rapper Vanilla Ice is facing felony charges in Florida after authorities recovered “hot” items in his custody that he allegedly stole from a foreclosed home, a February 19 article on Daily News stated.

Charges of grand theft and burglary were filed against the 47-year-old rapper, whose real name is Robert Matthew Van Winkle, after he turned himself into authorities. Agents of a foreclosed home near the place where the rapper is renovating a house for his TV show contacted police after learning that some valuable items were found missing. The “Ice Ice Baby” singer, who was booked in Palm Beach County Jail, was also released from custody after settling a bond of $6,000.
