Rap artist “Chief Keef” is being sought by authorities in Lake County for not showing up to his scheduled DUI trial, an article of myfoxchicago.com reported on August 23.
According to reports, County Judge Veronica O’Malley issued a $50,000 bench warrant to arrest the rapper for not appearing at his DUI trial on August 22. The rapper, whose real name is Keith Cozart, reportedly failed to appear at his hearing after a ticket was issued to him on the same day in Highland Park for operating a vehicle under the influence of marijuana. Cozart pleaded not guilty. Cozart, who had a history of driving under the influence of marijuana, was supposed to appear in a court hearing after being charged with DUI last March.
