Dennis police arrested two persons after a brief surveillance of a car they were driving led to the discovery of a substantial amount of various illegal drugs. The arrest occurred after the Dennis police teamed up with the Massachusetts State Police Drug Task Force to issue a search warrant for a parked vehicle allegedly belonging to 32-year-old Wesley Rose and his 25-year-old passenger Jean Ridlon. They reportedly found a small amount of a Class E controlled substance called Omerprazole in the car.
Police claimed they saw the two suspects along with a 1-year-old child conducting drug deals within the vicinity of Mayfair Drive while in a rented 2013 Kia Optima car. The two allegedly walked towards a side entrance of a house after parking on a driveway. Police arrested the pair when they returned to their car. They also found several grams of heroin and cocaine, including a dozen Suboxene tablets with an estimated street value of $4,000, after checking the location where the couple had walked to.
Rose is being held without bail at the Dennis Police Station, while Ridlon received a $2,000 cash bail for charges of possession with intent to distribute. Both will be arraigned in Orleans District Court.
