Drake Bell pleads not guilty to DUI

On June 29, American actor Drake Bell entered a not guilty plea in connection to a driving while under the influence (DUI) charge. The charges were filed against him in December of 2015, an article of CBS Los Angeles reported.

The 30-year-old Nickelodeon star was charged on December 21, 2015 of a misdemeanor DUI after he was stopped by authorities on San Fernando Road. Bell, who was seen driving erratically prior to his arrest, avoided undergoing chemical testing. Bell’s charge came within the 10-year period of a DUI offense he received six years ago. On August 5, Bell will appear in court. Because of his former charges, he may serve a jail sentence of up to one year if found guilty of the offense.
