Harwich police seek driver who exposed himself

January 04, 2011

HARWICH – Police are investigating an incident in which a man reportedly exposed himself to a woman while she was walking on Long Road on Saturday afternoon.

Police interviewed a man in Harwich Port in connection with the incident, but no arrest was made, according to Patrol Officer Aram Goshgarian. The police said the incident was similar to one reported this summer in Harwich Port.

The woman told police that while she was walking on the road a man in a black Honda CR-V pulled over and let her see that he was touching himself in a sexual manner. He drove off after exposing himself.

She described the man as white, heavyset, with short dark hair.

Members of the Harwich Police Patrol Division searched the area, and a vehicle matching the description was located in a Harwich Port neighborhood.

The car also matched the description of the vehicle involved in the July incident, the police said.

Police interviewed a man who said he had been driving the SUV. They said he denied any involvement in the reported incident.
