Jury favors Rose in Beverly Hills rape case

On October 19, a federal jury reached a decision in favor of professional basketball player Derrick Rose and two other men who were suspected of raping a woman in Beverly Hills in 2013, a report from Channel 3000 stated.

According to the jurors, they were not convinced by the story of the 30-year-old plaintiff because of inconsistencies in her testimony. Rose, 28, together with Randall Hampton and Ryan Allen, were accused of spiking the drink of the plaintiff before sexually assaulting her. The woman claimed that she did not immediately report the incident as she was embarrassed for her family. In the $21 million lawsuit filed, Rose, Allen, and Hampton simultaneously raped the woman.
