Massachusetts Police arrest suspected OUI offender

A vehicle driver, suspected of operating a vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants (OUI), was recently nabbed by Massachusetts police on Christmas eve following a vehicular mishap, a January 2 article of capecodtoday.com reported.

According to reports, state authorities in Bourne had been notified of a one-vehicle accident on the eastbound ramp of Route 25 in Wareham. When authorities arrived, the driver was no longer in the vehicle. However, there were some individuals who have provided information regarding the driver’s appearance. Authorities then conducted a manhunt into the woods using canine and air wing technology that lead to the arrest of 45-year-old John Layton, a Boston resident. Layton was later booked at police barracks and multiple charges were filed against him.

Criminal defense attorney James Powderly of Cape Cod understands that facing charges related to OUI is frightening. If this is happening to you, he may provide you legal representation to make sure your rights are protected. Learn more about your options from him today by calling (508) 343-0676.
