Massachusetts sex offender busted

State authorities recently apprehended a sex offender who was on the Massachusetts Most Wanted list, an article of WWLP.COM reported on July 28.

Reports said Miguel Villegas, 48, was arrested on July 25 by authorities in Newark, New Jersey. Villegas, who was temporarily taken into custody by Newark police, is expected to be transported to Massachusetts for his arraignment. In 2003, Villegas was convicted of sexually assaulting a child. Villegas and five other people were listed on July 22 on the “Massachusetts Most Wanted Sex Offenders” list. Authorities have managed to arrest four of the six sex offenders listed. State police are asking the public to notify them if they have any information regarding the two other sex offenders who are still at large.
