Well-known professional wrestling personality Jerry Lawler, known in wrestling circles as “The King,” was arrested with his girlfriend after Tennessee police charged them with domestic violence, an article of ABC News reported on June 17.
Reports revealed that Lawler, 66, and girlfriend Lauryn McBride, 27, were apprehended on June 16 after police responded to a call at Lawler’s home in East Memphis. Police reportedly decided to take the two into custody because of the conflicting statements they received. In an arrest affidavit, McBride stated that Lawler pushed her against a stove and struck her head. Lawler, on the other hand, claimed that McBride kicked his crotch and scratched his face.
