Rapper’s drug possession charge reduced

American hip hop artist Wiz Khalifa had his drug possession charge reduced on June 15 in El Paso, ABC7 reported. Instead, he plead guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia.

The 27-year-old rapper, whose real name is Cameron Thomaz, entered a guilty plea that reduced his charge to a Class C misdemeanor. Thomaz was apprehended on May 25, 2014 at the El Paso International Airport the morning after he performed at a music festival when officers found 0.5 grams of marijuana in his possession. As part of his guilty plea, he was fined $500.
