Repeat DUI offender busted for crashing into patrol car

A man who has a history of drunk driving is facing yet another DUI charge after he was suspected of crashing into a Marlborough Police vehicle while under the influence, necn.com reported on April 14.

Police reports stated that a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) crashed into the driver side of a moving police cruiser on Bolton Street. The officer operating the cruiser was later transported to a hospital due to minor injuries. Charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol, reckless driving, and child endangerment were filed against Joseph Coleman, 55. Coleman’s daughter and dog, who were both in the vehicle at the time, were not injured in the crash. Reports showed that Coleman has four previous drunken driving charges.
