Rock band vocalist Scantlin charged in Minnesota

Charges were filed against rock star Wes Scantlin after he was apprehended by authorities in Bird Island, Minnesota and was accused of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police pulled over the vehicle driven by Scantlin, 43, after noticing that he was travelling at a speed of 100 mph on a road with a 60 mph speed limit. Scantlin attempted to escape authorities in his vehicle and was charged with a felony for his attempt.  He was later charged with two counts of DUI after police noticed several signs of intoxication from him. Scantlin reportedly registered a 0.31 percent blood alcohol level after blowing a breathalyzer. The Puddle of Mudd singer was later discharged after posting bail.
